When selecting Gardening and Landscaping Tools Do You Look For High Quality or Bargain Pricing?

“You can’t put a price on quality”… this is a common expression, and anyone who has tried to complete a job with cheap tools knows this to be true.

Some people chose to go the inexpensive route when buying tools typically buying new tools every season. I cannot understand why anyone would do this because the extra effort that is required to use a cheap set of shears for example does not make it worth the extra $5-$10 that you will save. There is also the issue of longevity. Quality gardening tools can last many years, and in the long run it will be cheaper to invest in a good set of tools as opposed to buying inexpensive tools every year to replace the ones you bought the year before.

However even the best tools will not function properly if they are not well taken care of. This means your gardening and landscaping tools need to be kept sharp, and properly stored to prevent rusting.

The advice I would give to "throw away gardeners” is this: If you plan on doing a decent amount of landscaping or gardening invest in decent tools. Not only will they last longer, but they will make the job easier, cut down on the amount of labor time, and in some cases reduce the amount of strain put on your body from using the tool.
