How to plan your landscape, and avoid common mistakes part1.
A landscape which is designed properly is a gem of enjoyment for the whole family, it enhances a neighborhood and contributes to the resale value of your property. Landscape design requires a lot more than placing trees, bush's and other plants on the property. It is an art that deals with conscious arranging or organization of outdoor space for human gratification and enjoyment.
Some of its major goals include:
- Organizing and developing the site for utmost use and pleasance.
- Creating a visual relationship between the household and the site.
- Reducing landscape care to a practical level.
Americans spend tremendous amounts of money landscaping their businesses, homes, streets, parks, schools, etc. A good deal of this money is squandered, however, because of little or no planning. People cannot realize how to landscape until they know why they landscape. There are many reasons why people landscape: some think it improves the visual aspect of their home; others like to raise plants; still others just want their place to look pretty. Too often these landscapes reign rather than serve. Masses of plants or other materials in the landscape may take up a prominent parcel of the space and leave minuscule room for people.
