Not Only Is Gardening Fun It Can Help You Lose Weight.

 

It’s no secret that many Americans are overweight, and every time you turn around there is a new fad diet that promises quick and easy weight loss.
The truth is there is no easy way to lose weight, but you can make weight loss fun. One way to do that is by gardening. Getting out side and working in the garden is a great way to shed a few extra pounds, and it sure beats running on a treadmill.

In fact, there have been times when I have spent the whole day gardening, and I was so sore the next day I did not want to get out of bed. Now that’s what I call a great workout! And the best part was the time flew by so fast that before I knew it the sun was going down. That’s the real secret to losing weight, you have to make it fun or you’re never going to stick with it.

For me being out side working in my garden or doing landscaping is fun. Landscaping and gardening also happen to be very physical so you’re burning a lot of calories while you are doing it.

Maybe gardening is not for everyone, but as far as I’m concerned it’s a lot better than spending hour after hour at the gym.
